We are implementing HTML5 Offline Applications support so it will "just work" in modern browsers. 2. You could put scripts on your server (for example, add them to the Subversion repository). But you will not get automatic updates in this case. 3. You could use Artifacts as a standalone application (http://www.versioned.com/support/0003/) or from Visual Studio. But it's $19.
