If you want a GUI Subversion client for the Mac, try Path Finder which is like Finder on Steroids. You can get that from http://cocoatech.com. Path Finder includes a lot of features that aren't in Finder, but most power users want. And, one of the features it has is built in Subversion integration. I also believe that XCode is integrated with Subversion too. You should also look at http://svnbook.com which is the Subversion on line manual. Many open source projects have horrendous documentation, but Subversion isn't one of them.
