This is actually incorrect. See this recent discussion on the dev mailinglist: http://svn.haxx.se/dev/archive-2010-01/0340.shtml The current documentation doesn't agree with how it actually behaves. The documentation will probably be fixed to describe the current behavior... I don't know if the behavior was different in 1.5 though. Johan
