Hello Experts,

Currently we have installed SOLR 8.11.1 services through NSSM Service
manager (version 2.24).

NSSM Service manager is mainly used for managing windows services which
includes automatically starting and stopping the SOLR Services.

As a part of SOLR service maintenance, NSSM Service manager is currently
scheduled to restart the SOLR Services every Saturday 6PM CST.

But because of an unexpected issue, NSSM Service manager is unable to
restart SOLR services. As a result when the restart command is issued the
NSSM Service manager is stopping the SOLR services indefinitely.

We are using the below command for restarting SOLR services

*nssm.exe restart SOLR-8.11.1*

We are facing the below issue

*SOLR-8.11.1: Unexpected status SERVICE_STOP_PENDING in response to STOP
control.*

Have you talked to the NSSM project to see what they can tell you about what their software is seeing from Solr?

If you try to manually run the commands that NSSM is using, what happens?  What exactly are those commands?  Any instructions you might have followed to set NSSM up for Solr are not an official product of this project.

Thanks,
Shawn
