Mine is a small setup (it's my home server with 4 users), but I don't
see why it should be problematic wrt concurrent access, after all the
example cyrus.conf (https://www.cyrusimap.org/imap/reference/manpages/
configs/cyrus.conf.html) spawns two separate servers, one for imap and
the other for imaps, and in any case every connection gets its own imap
process.
At work I'm using cas authentication with pam_cas but I plan to migrate
to the simpler system with no authentication.
I forgot to say that you have to do the same for sieve and that the
system is relatively safe as long as you have no user that can login to
either machine (sogo server and cyrus server), otherwise they could read
everybody's emails.
