Hi. What are your PDF memory settings? I was looking at the code and doing some profiling last night and it looks like the temporary file optimization keeps 4K of data per page in memory. For 200 pages, this would take 800K+ of memory just for this.
I have been using PDF box for a while now, but have a pretty simple use case and so haven't used many of the features. However, we had a user create a document with 10,000s of pages recently, and the 4K / page started to really show itself.
