Comment 11 (or a variant) will probably solve it for you.

The library needed is gdk-pixbuf2-xlib and I only found it available in
the Centos PowerTools repo which was not enabled by default on my CentOS
8 system.
Enable it with:
$ sudo dnf config-manager --set-enabled PowerTools
installed with:
$ sudo dnf install gdk-pixbuf2-xlib
