My previous query:My challenge is figuring out how to remove the OpenOffice
icon from the Mac desktop, without the program quitting.Already have O.O.
software installed in my MacBook Pro Applications folder, along with an
alias. If I right click on the O.O. desktop icon, and select “Eject OpenOffice”
from the pop-up list, notice appears, “The disk 'OpenOffice' wasn’t ejected
because one or more programs may be using it.”
Mark Wolf responded to above:  "Have you tried a Force Quit to see if Open
Office is started?"
1. Did a "Force Eject" of the Open Office desktop icon. (screenshot)2  Tried
reopening Open Office files - "File Can't Be Found" notice popped up for each
one I tried to open.3. Had to relaunch Open Office from Applications folder.4.
A "simultaneous access" warning popped up. (See attached screen shot)5. Clicked
Continue  and allowed O.O. to reconstruct listed files.
This seems to be a lot of trouble to reboot Open Office and access my files
when I shut down and reopen the MacBook Pro.
