Hi, I don't really understand what you mean with "clicking from your backing bean". Do you mean invoking the action associated with the button, Java style? Or do you mean you want to trigger a client side click from a backing bean? That isn't possible, not even with other standard web frameworks, unless you use a technology like Comet. And what do you mean with clicking from your backing bean? Do you have Java code in a backing bean method that needs to trigger some UI event?
