Thanks to the help of this list I am getting close to
having my custom component working. I have a snag
though. The setter method for the attribute in my
bean isn't getting called. I think it is because I
have the clientId wrong for the components.
Here is my JSP. (The data tag extends UIData which is
a NamingContainer.)
<cjsf:rptTable>
<cjsf:data id="dataTable1"
value="#{allAuthUser.tableRows}" var="myTableRow1">
<cjsf:row>
<cjsf:col>
<h:inputText id="tableUserId"
value="#{myTableRow1.testFld}" size="5"
maxlength="5"/>
</cjsf:col>
</cjsf:row>
</cjsf:data>
</cjsf:rptTable>
Here is the HTML it produces.
<table id="tblmaintForm:body:_id12">
<tbody id="tblmaintForm:body:dataTable1">
<tr id="tblmaintForm:body:dataTable1_0:_id13">
<td
id="tblmaintForm:body:dataTable1_0:_id14"><input
id="tblmaintForm:body:dataTable1_0:tableUserId"
name="tblmaintForm:body:dataTable1_0:tableUserId"
type="text" value="" maxlength="5" size="5"/></td>
</tr>
<tr id="tblmaintForm:body:dataTable1_1:_id13">
<td
id="tblmaintForm:body:dataTable1_1:_id14"><input
id="tblmaintForm:body:dataTable1_1:tableUserId"
name="tblmaintForm:body:dataTable1_1:tableUserId"
type="text" value="" maxlength="5" size="5"/></td>
</tr>
<tr id="tblmaintForm:body:dataTable1_2:_id13">
<td
id="tblmaintForm:body:dataTable1_2:_id14"><input
id="tblmaintForm:body:dataTable1_2:tableUserId"
name="tblmaintForm:body:dataTable1_2:tableUserId"
type="text" value="" maxlength="5" size="5"/></td>
</tr>
<tr id="tblmaintForm:body:dataTable1_3:_id13">
<td
id="tblmaintForm:body:dataTable1_3:_id14"><input
id="tblmaintForm:body:dataTable1_3:tableUserId"
name="tblmaintForm:body:dataTable1_3:tableUserId"
type="text" value="" maxlength="5" size="5"/></td>
</tr>
<tr id="tblmaintForm:body:dataTable1_4:_id13">
<td
id="tblmaintForm:body:dataTable1_4:_id14"><input
id="tblmaintForm:body:dataTable1_4:tableUserId"
name="tblmaintForm:body:dataTable1_4:tableUserId"
type="text" value="" maxlength="5" size="5"/></td>
</tr>
<tr id="tblmaintForm:body:dataTable1_5:_id13">
<td
id="tblmaintForm:body:dataTable1_5:_id14"><input
id="tblmaintForm:body:dataTable1_5:tableUserId"
name="tblmaintForm:body:dataTable1_5:tableUserId"
type="text" value="" maxlength="5" size="5"/></td>
</tr>
<tr id="tblmaintForm:body:dataTable1_6:_id13">
<td
id="tblmaintForm:body:dataTable1_6:_id14"><input
id="tblmaintForm:body:dataTable1_6:tableUserId"
name="tblmaintForm:body:dataTable1_6:tableUserId"
type="text" value="" maxlength="5" size="5"/></td>
</tr>
<tr id="tblmaintForm:body:dataTable1_7:_id13">
<td
id="tblmaintForm:body:dataTable1_7:_id14"><input
id="tblmaintForm:body:dataTable1_7:tableUserId"
name="tblmaintForm:body:dataTable1_7:tableUserId"
type="text" value="" maxlength="5" size="5"/></td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>
These Id's just don't look right to me somehow and I
think that is the problem that I am having.
Here are my questions:
1) Does the clientId for the column need to include
the clientId for the row in it? As you can see, mine
doesn't for some reason.
2) Should the index be someplace else in the clientId,
rather than as part of the id for the tbody? Sholdn't
the index be part of the id for the row (_id13)?
Thank you for your help.
Ray
