Hmmm, you are right. making a ln to it there does nothing. When i add a directory called 'native2ascii' there, it seems to go past that location, but now all kinds of wonky things are happening. Compiler can't find classes for one. I have no idea why maven wants a directory there - it is beyond me. It should just be calling native2ascii. This was all working a couple of days ago, and i must have inadvertently stepped on something, but for the life of me i have no idea what.
