URL is the web URL of a web based repository browser (if you have
one... if not, given you are using svn I recommend giving sventon a try)
connection is the maven scm URL for anonymous read only access and
might need to have the guest or anon username embedded in the URL
depending on the scm provider
developerConnection is the maven scm url for read/write access

I had just a quick question that I could not find documentation for,
but I
am a newbie so thanks in advance if this is obvious.
Why is there a need to define a <connection> , <developerConnection>
and
<URL> ?
I understand that you can configure which of connections you use,
but it
seems that your pom.xml has a fixed location within the repository
and if it
branched or moved then the connection data would need to be updated
anyways. I am also a bit lost as to when the url setting is used.
We are using Subversion for version control and as of now I have all 3
settings as the URL to the pom, and everything seems to work just
fine. I
would just like a bit more understanding of how and when these
different
values are used.
Thanks - Scott
