Thanks for your patience and support Raphaël ! I had NO idea that the archetype descriptor is in fact a velocity template. Since I started to read sources concerning archetype creation, I can see much clearer, what happens.

In §4 "Create the prototype files and the prototype pom.xml" you can see use defined properties passed to the velocity context before generating from template files. Hope this helps.
