Guillaume,
I am an English as second language teacher. English is a problem
for me because one never knows enough context when dealing in
computer matters. Additional cut & paste documentation would
have set me straight.
cd /usr/local
tar -zxvf path where you put the compressed .gz file

In computers context is almost everything and that is what is
usually omitted in linux documentation. But this little cut
and paste was far better than most.

Thanks for helping me see my mistake. I was able to run Scala
with the lift web framework using maven. But it took 42 minutes
to dl maven. Will I be able to port this to a cell phone or
game machine?
Thanks again,
Johnny

I'm using my gifts to help others overcome limitations. Will you do the same
for me?
