If no user has ever asked for it (via JIRA), and no one in the dev team has ever thought of it themselves, then the likelihood of it landing in a release is extremely low.
File a JIRA and perhaps it will be included in a future release. Since you can simply pipe or tee the output, I'd expect the number of people looking for something like this would be pretty low, but I could be completely wrong...
