I am able to successfully create an archive with the contents I need using
the resource and assembly plugin capabilities. However, the only issue I
have is that the consumer of the archive requires the archive to have a
custom name. I would like to get the assembly plugin to manage the zip
archive with the custom suffix since it would be incredibly easy and
automated if I can just point my legacy consumer into the maven repository
to pickup the archive file. Is that possible? It doesn't look like I can
configure this property by looking at the documentation and source code.
Right now I am solving this issue with a soft-link ("ln -s
foo-1.0-SNAPSHOT-xxx.zip foo-1.0-SNAPSHOT-xxx.mysuffix).
