I generally would not suggest this, but to fix your problem *right now*, I would go into your local repository (assuming Windows, it will be in C:\Documents and Settings\your.name\.m2\repository), find the maven-achetype-1.0-alpha-4.pom file, and modify the contents so the versions are 1.0-alpha-4 rather than ${project.version}.This will probably fix your issue for the short-term. But it really must be fixed in the ibiblio repo. When it gets fixed there (if you watch that MEV bug I filed, you'll know when), you should delete your maven-archetype directory, and then run mvn -U compile to download it fresh from ibiblio. Wayne
