It will be released when the plugin "owner" decides to push a new release including that fix.
In the meantime, there's nothing stopping you from pulling the code from Subversion and building your own internal/private build that includes this bug fix. Perhaps there's even a SNAPSHOT that's already deployed which includes this fix, to keep you from having to maintain your own version? Check the Maven Snapshots repo...
