Copying feels wrong.

it should be included in assembly.

Hi. I also made some comments on this aspect -- I accidentally sent the message with the wrong subject -- "Re: users Digest 1 Mar 2006 23:37:06 -0000 Issue 1940". Here's the relevant point from that, which sounds similar:

... Unless there is some way to assign an "id" to a resource and then refer to that from a configuration or execution and instigate a filtered copy of the identified resources, but directed into either a specified output directory or to the output directory of the running plugin...

Sounds like a tough addition...
