Thanks Frank! It is interesting to look at the "popular issues panel" for a
given Jira project
http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MNG?report=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.
project:popularissues-panel

and see what motivated users have voted for. Maven users don't seem to vote
as much compared to other systems I track though. Maybe it is an indication
that the votes don't matter?!

The #1 voted issue is the multi-module setup guide, and has been for awhile.
There has been lots of email list traffic on this topic, and the votes
correlate.

I truly don't know how the Maven dev team uses it. I hope one of them
answers...
I hope they use it as some type of overall gauge of need, if not use it as a
priority list. But it may just get ignored. It's OS and developer's
choice! :-)

Either way, voting can't hurt and could only help!

I just voted. How many votes does an issue typically need before it gets
some attention? Just curious...

Regretfully, "welcome to the club!!" ;-)

(please vote on it in attempt to garner more attention!)

I agree with this 100%. I've been thinking this for days. I started using
maven2 last week, and I've found it hard to get up to speed. It took a solid
4 days, to get a preliminary pass on my project working. I'm still having
issue with the test cases...
