tests not being run

I'm using maven 1.1 beta 2, win xp

I have a multiproject and my tests are not being run.

Junit tests summary:
Tests   Errors          Failures        Success rate    Time(s)
0       0       0       ?       0.00

But the tests appear at tests xref.

I don't have any property telling the tests to be skipped
here goes my project.xml file:
