I was going to say "Maven in Action", but that sounded even more like another book :) I think most of the ideas could come right off the mailing list. There's plenty of discussion here around interesting configurations and the best way to get everything working for them. You might be able to contact the person who sent the original message and find out if they are working now and how they like the solution.
