You can purge your snapshots locally, if you dont want to delete by hand, you can use mvn dependency:purge-local-repository See https://maven.apache.org/plugins/maven-dependency-plugin/examples/purging-local-repository.html But I think deleting (with find) is pretty common (so is using timestamps).
