Of course there are a lot of Q&A that are not just about the Maven core and plugins under org.apache.maven.plugins. And it is always acceptable to ask questions here and hope that maybe someone will be able to help you.
But it seemed like your email was more of a complaint about poor documentation that I felt should be addressed to the group responsible for that specific plugin. You said very explicitly "please help and update the online documentation" which sounded like you were expecting someone on this list to take specific action based on your email. There is not much anyone on this list can do about poor docs for plugins not under o.a.m.p. If you really feel the documentation is lacking, the most pragmatic route is not to merely complain about it on an email list but rather to actually post a bug/issue in the relevant project's bug tracker. Otherwise they are probably thinking "our documentation must be great, no one ever complains about it!" Thanks to Ryan and Hilco for helping me express my thoughts more clearly. ;-) Wayne On Mon, Feb 28, 2011 at 11:30 AM, Collins, Russell <[email protected]> wrote: > Of course the base maven project is not going to do anything about the third > party documentation.
