Hello,I also had this problem lately, but did not have time to investigate. I'm under impression that the files should be copied by the javadoc tool itself, so this does not seem like a maven issue.
It seems to me that the javadoc plugin does not copy the doc-files directories. Is it a known bug or a misconfiguration from myself ?
Maybe you could file an issue in Jira?
