problem using ftp task from maven.xml

I am having problem using the optional ftp task from maven.xml.
I have search the mail list and google with no luck.
Please help.

I have the following dependencies in my project.xml :

      <dependency>
         <groupId>ant</groupId>
         <artifactId>ant-optional</artifactId>
         <version>1.5.1</version>
         <url>http://jakarta.apache.org/ant/</url>
      </dependency>

      <dependency>
         <groupId>netcomponents</groupId>
         <artifactId>netcomponents</artifactId>
         <version>1.3.8a</version>
         <url>http://jakarta.apache.org/commons/net/</url>
      </dependency>

And the following in my maven.xml :

      <ant:taskdef name="ftp"
classname="org.apache.tools.ant.taskdefs.optional.net.FTP" />
