I have installed Skype using lpf-skype from rpmfusion repo.
It appears to work fine:
rpm -qa \*skype\*
skype-4.2.0.11-8.fc20.i686
skype-data-4.2.0.11-8.fc20.noarch
lpf-skype-4.2.0.11-11.fc20.i686
