I use gnome I am going to clarify the point (see the attached picture) Using the gnome file browser, You can see that the 2 first partitions are mounted automatically (5.2 GB Volume, and the 786 MB Volume) but not the 2 next ones (pdupre and pdupre_ext) Of course, if I click right on them, I can mount them. This is what I consider "auto-mounted" versus manually mounted. This is not really an issue, just trying to understand.
