Where are you reading your mail? In gmail's inbox? In a folder filtering this list mail separately, in gmails "all mail" pseudo- folder? You get different behaviour in them. Also check it's not sin-binning your own messages in a spam folder, since they say they came from you, but actually came from the list server.
