And I did "locate wireshark" and found no "/usr/sbin/wireshark." As soon as I installed wireshark.cli it would start. And I had removed and reinstalled wireshark earlier, before my initial query here, with no improvement.

$ whereis wireshark
wireshark: /usr/sbin/wireshark /usr/lib64/wireshark /usr/share/wireshark /usr/share/man/man1/wireshark.1.gz
