For the records: releases are always available with direct url like
https://hadoop.apache.org/release/2.7.7.html but they are promoted to
the download menu only if the 'linked' header exists.
See this page as an example:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/apache/hadoop-site/asf-site/src/release/2.7.7.md
