After upgrading from 10.04 to 10.10 on AMD64, when rebooting and thereafter the
system is frozen with a blank screen.
Playing with safemore, it appears to be stopped when 'checking battery state'
but this is a desktop machine!
Following various hints from the forum, such as updating and reinstalling
ubuntu-desktop etc did not help.
As my computer is dead now, I cannot supply any more diagnostics.
