The new package solves the problem, just run the following commands. sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get dist-upgrade sudo apt-get install fglrx go to system, administration, proprietary drivers and enable the driver reboot every thing ok (driver version 2:8.780-0ubuntu1, kernel 2.6.35-22)
