You have been subscribed to a public bug:
Upgraded to 10.10 and now I can only get terminal mode - no desktop. [ lost my
dual monitors and GUI].
The system comes up in low resolution terminal mode.
Did the following:
uname -r
2.6.35-20-generic-pae
remove fglrx fglrx-amdcccle xorg-driver-fglrx fglrx-modaliases
came back with:
removing all DKMS modules, errors encountered when processing fglrx,
sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
did:
do-release-upgrade -d.
then repaired packages
then boot as normal
lspci lists my Radeon HD 3870 card OK.
What other information is needed to specify this bug?
