I tried testing with a Maverick daily build around July 20, but I couldn't collect any useful information because the boot hangs 100% of the time. Now that Alpha 3 is out, I'll try again over the weekend.
As far as the expired status goes, I thought the Launchpad policy was 60 days of inactivity before expiration. It's been a little more than 2 weeks since my last comment, and less than a month since you requested information.
