As per kurt belgrave's suggestion Today I have downloaded Ubuntu desktop 10.10 (maverick) , and booted the system through LIVE CD option.
Now there is no mouse problem, Monitor is visible in the preferences- monitor section, I am able to change the resolution from the default 800X600 to 1024X768 System seems to be stable, as there is no crash so far. For your reference, I have captured the problem reporting data and sending with the new bug report (Bug #607344 ). Can u suggest, what I can do next?
