Mackenzie's PPA worked fine here, symptoms experienced using standard 10.04 Lucid after dist-upgrade.
Using 3 Samsung 20" screens with 2 NVidia PCIe cards (9600GT with one DVI connection to centre monitor, 9500GT connected to left and right LCDs via DVI).
