I have another *maybe interesting* fact to report: I installed KDE in this Ubuntu 10.04 and since then I have no screen glitches/flickering! Nothing at all. Even in Gnome. Maybe this problem/bug is related to the gnome-power-manager or something? Notice I'm running '2.6.32-22-generic' kernel and this Ubuntu 10.04 was a fresh install.
