I can confirm that 2.6.32-21 freezes X completely. A low resolution flash screen warning about HD check shows a few seconds, then the screen flashes, goes blank and then freezes completely. The only thing to do then is a hard reboot. 2.6.32-20-generic works, but boots slower than before.
