Looks like the fix is in http://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/driver/xf86 -video-intel/commit/?id=9494f4e91f8c8c7a0f8d61c6883c9bfceb2cec46 which looks to be easy to cherrypick.
There are testing packages available in https://edge.launchpad.net/~raof/+archive/intel-testing-scratchpad with the upstream patch applied.
