Hi Robert Thanks, I did the apport-collect 556426 but the site gets stuck at the "Almost finished ..." mark. I think it is the apt-get. A few months ago I did tried to install the 195 drivers (better vdpau support) from a ppa. After a kernel upgrade things went sour. The uninstallation of that packages, removal of the source in /etc/sources.list and dist-upgrade to Lucid obviously did not work.
