I also tried very hard to get this type of setup working without much sucess
2x nvidia cards. (Different versions ex.. 1 is 265gtx and the other cheap 8600 i beleive) 3 monitors. at best I could get 2 monitors on same car using xinerama and 1 stand alone x.
