Please execute the following command in a terminal after reproducing the
issue, and it it will automatically gather debugging information needed
for this bug:
apport-collect 512714
evdev is supposed to load automatically now - no need to specify it in
xorg.conf, so I'm really curious why that fixed it. Your log files
should indicate what's gone wrong I hope.
