Just did an upgrade tonight and now the box locks up whenever X tries to
start. I disabled gdm so I could get to a prompt, but whenever I type
startx, the screen gets corrupted and locks up.
I'd be happy to provide more info about the specifics of the system,
just tell me what would help and how to get it. From the command line
