Still happening for me (Amilo LI 1718) with the daily live CD (26th). If I boot with radeon.modeset=0 the desktop won't corrupt and lock up after a few minutes as it does without this option set. But still won't resume the display from suspend or hibernate. Also, using that option results in a garbled login screen until I press alt+SysRq+K .
