I'm experiencing same problems listed above running Fedora 12 and Gnome. My nvidia card in one of my laptops stops displaying the animated icons randomly and once I restart cairo-dock, it is back. BUT, my other laptop with an ATI Technologies Inc Radeon Mobility X1400 never has shown the animated icons. I've been tracking this case, but has anyone yet found a solution?
