I just reported a bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/512589 -- but then realized it's most likely a duplicate of this bug. Handy hint for in Windows: go to the mouse control panel and press "alt-shift-i", and it will give you a debug dialog. I have attached the saved diagnostics details here.
