** Description changed: Ubuntu and Kubuntu Alpha 2 (32 and 64bit too) Booting up the Live CD there are 3 possibilities: - Try Ubuntu without installing --> white Ubuntu logo --> black screen with no backlight - Try Ubuntu without installing --> white Ubuntu logo --> the desktop shows for 5 seconds --> black screen with backlight - Try Ubuntu without installing --> black screen with Radeon X200M(R300), Radeon X1200(RV410), Radeon X1250(RV410) and Mobility Radeon X1600(RV530). - with nomodeset everything works,but screen corruption might happen. + with nomodeset everything works,but screen corruption might happen in Kubuntu(KWIN). Radeon HD3200(RV610), Radeon HD4650(RV730) and Radeon HD4750(RV740) is working fine with KMS.
