This bug and Bug #456902 seem very similar. I can't suggest any fixes because I'm a newbie, but my problem is similar to both of these bugs. One difference, however, is that alt-sysrq-reisub (if that's right) doesn't work for me. No keyboard or click inputs work. I always have to power down. When I restart, I usually need to do so three times before I get the display to show again.
