I stated that above "nvidia-glx-185 (173 96)" but there isn't a 190. 180 is just a transitional package for nvidia-glx-185.
I think this is a big problem because I first found this problem just my simply trying to enable "Visual Effects" in gnome. After enabling it installed the nvidia-glx and uninstalled xserver-xorg without my knowledge. I just rebooted and X wouldn't start. Then I messed around until I figured out xserver-xorg was nolonger installed. -- installing nvidia-glx-185 (173 96) removes xserver-xorg https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/497054 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers-180 in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
